Send me a written Charm City figure

A countersigned Baltimore Movers quote — the price the rowhouse pays at unload matches the figure on the page — takes a sixty-second form.

Whatever you type into this form sits on Theresa's desk in our Charm City office, used solely to price your Baltimore haul — never punted to a third party, never bundled into a contact-broker list, never spun up into a drip campaign.

The questions I get asked most often

After more than a decade of moving Baltimore households, the same handful of questions come up on almost every estimate call. I’d rather you have the answers before you book, so here’s how I run Baltimore Movers. If yours isn’t on the list, message the office and Theresa will get you a real answer the same business day.

Pricing, permits and how we work

Everything below is how we actually run the trucks — not boilerplate. Flat rate, in writing, before we load. That’s the whole pitch. The rest is detail.

For the full breakdown of our moving services and a working estimate, use the moving cost calculator or the free quote form.

Are you a moving company?
Yes — Baltimore Movers is a fully licensed and insured Baltimore, MD moving company running our own trucks and uniformed crew, with a Maryland PSC moving permit and US DOT and MC authority.
How does your flat-rate pricing actually work?
We send out an inventory form or jump on a quick video walkthrough, then countersign one binding Maryland flat-rate number the morning of the lift. The figure your crew chief tallies at the curb matches the figure that arrived in your inbox — no surprise stair fees, fuel surcharges or long-carry add-ons stacked on at the curb.
Where do you serve across Greater Baltimore?
We cover Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County and Harford County — from Fells Point and Federal Hill out to Towson, Pikesville, Columbia, Ellicott City and down through Glen Burnie to Annapolis. Full neighborhood list lives on our service-areas page.
Can you handle marble-stoop rowhouses with narrow alley access?
Constantly. Highlandtown, Canton, Fed Hill, Hampden, Mt. Vernon, Bolton Hill — that's our normal Tuesday. We pad the marble stoops, mask the formstone, plan alley vs. street load-in, and pull on-street parking permits where the city requires them.
Do you do Inner Harbor high-rise condos with COI and freight-elevator rules?
Yes. Theresa in the office pulls your building's COI requirements, names them as additional insured at no charge, and books the freight-elevator window with the property manager. Tomás runs most of our Harbor East and HarborView jobs and knows the loading-dock quirks on each tower.
Do you take a deposit to hold a date?
A small refundable deposit holds your date on the truck board. The balance is due on completion by card, certified check or ACH. If you cancel with enough notice the deposit comes back to you in full.
What insurance and valuation coverage do you carry?
Standard released-value coverage of sixty cents per pound per article is included, and we offer full-value protection as an upgrade. We carry our own cargo and liability insurance and can issue up to one million dollars in cargo coverage per shipment.
Do you pack the kitchen and the breakables for me?
We offer full-pack, partial-pack and fragile-only packing. Crews bring dish-pack boxes, picture cartons, wardrobe boxes and packing paper, and we wrap art, mirrors and the china cabinet that came over from your grandmother in Highlandtown.
What happens if a nor'easter rolls in on moving day?
We move year-round through humid August and icy February. If a nor'easter actually shuts I-695 or the Bay Bridge approaches we'll proactively reschedule with no fee. On normal cold-weather days we lay heavy floor protection against road salt and slush and keep moving.
Do you handle long-distance moves out of Baltimore on I-95?
Yes — US DOT and MC authority on file. Our long-haul lead Reggie runs the I-95 corridor weekly down to DC, Richmond, Charlotte, Atlanta and Florida, and north to Philly, New York and Boston. See our routes hub for transit times and price anchors.
How it works

Booking a Charm City move with our crew, step by step

1

Drop the basics in the form

Both ZIPs, your target date, and the rough size of the home — takes about a minute, no obligation, and no charge to ask for the figure.

2

Read the binding written rate

One signed Maryland flat figure lands in your inbox, locked on paper. That is the number, full stop — no clock running on the crew once the marble stoop gets worked.

3

Our Baltimore Movers truck pulls in

Badged W-2 movers on an in-house Baltimore Movers truck arrive in the booked window, and the same faces stay on the job from the first blanket-wrap to the last box set in place at the new address.

Move Coming Up? Hand It To Our Baltimore, MD Crew.

Theresa countersigns the Charm City quote and emails it back — on a Mon-Fri the turnaround tends to clear well inside a single business hour. The figure that lands in your inbox is the same figure the rowhouse settles at the curb, with zero late-stage line items wedged into the small print.
