Send me a written Charm City figure

A countersigned Baltimore Movers quote — the price the rowhouse pays at unload matches the figure on the page — takes a sixty-second form.

Whatever you type into this form sits on Theresa's desk in our Charm City office, used solely to price your Baltimore haul — never punted to a third party, never bundled into a contact-broker list, never spun up into a drip campaign.

West on I-70 and I-76 — straight from Baltimore

I’m Vincent Marchetti, and Pittsburgh is a different drive than my I-95 routes. It’s about 245 miles west on I-70 out of Baltimore and onto I-76, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, through the Alleghenies and into the city from the east. One truck, one crew, no relay, with transit normally 1–2 days.

What this drive actually looks like

We climb up out of Frederick County, cross into PA at Breezewood, and roll past Bedford and Somerset before the descent into Pittsburgh. Tolls, fuel and the turnpike grade are already inside the flat rate I lock in writing before we load. No fuel surcharge mid-haul.

Baltimore → Pittsburgh, PA — estimated cost

Home sizeEstimated flat rateTypical transit

3-bedroom$3,550 – $4,6501–2 days
4-bedroom+$4,500 – $5,8001–2 days

Planning figures only. After our Baltimore, MD crew walks the load (or a quick video estimate), your written number is locked in.

Questions on this route

Is the Pittsburgh route a turnpike haul?
Mostly, yes. We run I-70 west out of Baltimore, jump on the Pennsylvania Turnpike around Breezewood, and roll into Pittsburgh from the east. It's about a four-and-a-half-hour clean drive, and the toll cost is already inside the written flat rate I quote you.
Can you handle steep Pittsburgh hills and narrow streets?
Yes. Squirrel Hill, Mt. Washington and the South Side Slopes are tighter and steeper than anything we run in Baltimore, so I size the truck to the block — straight truck where a 26-footer won't make the turn, with the smaller size already priced in.
Do you stage overnight?
Sometimes. If we load by mid-day, we'll push straight through and unload that afternoon. If load runs late, the truck overnights at a secured yard and unloads the next morning. The window goes on the quote, not surprise-charged at the door.
How it works

Booking a Charm City move with our crew, step by step

1

Drop the basics in the form

Both ZIPs, your target date, and the rough size of the home — takes about a minute, no obligation, and no charge to ask for the figure.

2

Read the binding written rate

One signed Maryland flat figure lands in your inbox, locked on paper. That is the number, full stop — no clock running on the crew once the marble stoop gets worked.

3

Our Baltimore Movers truck pulls in

Badged W-2 movers on an in-house Baltimore Movers truck arrive in the booked window, and the same faces stay on the job from the first blanket-wrap to the last box set in place at the new address.

Licensed in Maryland

Maryland PSC licensed, insured & owner-run — on every Charm City job

US DOT & MC authorityActive federal authority stands behind us the moment your load leaves Baltimore, MD — south on I-95 toward Washington DC and Richmond, up the corridor to Philadelphia, NYC and Boston, or west on I-70 to Pittsburgh.
Maryland PSC HHG permitA Maryland PSC household-goods moving permit sits on file with the state, alongside the US DOT and MC authority above — we are properly licensed to move Maryland households, not a broker farming the job out to whoever picks up the load.
$1,000,000 cargo coverageEvery box, sofa and bed frame loaded onto a Baltimore Movers truck moves under a $1M cargo policy as standard; full-value valuation rides as an upgrade option when a Roland Park art collection or a Mt. Vernon antique cabinet wants tighter coverage.
Workers’ comp & liabilityEvery uniformed crew member punching the clock for Baltimore Movers is enrolled in active Maryland workers' comp plus general liability — a strained back inside your formstone rowhouse, a slip on the marble stoop, a scrape in the English basement gets billed straight to our policy, not the homeowner.

Move Coming Up? Hand It To Our Baltimore, MD Crew.

Theresa countersigns the Charm City quote and emails it back — on a Mon-Fri the turnaround tends to clear well inside a single business hour. The figure that lands in your inbox is the same figure the rowhouse settles at the curb, with zero late-stage line items wedged into the small print.
